Dale began in the business brokerage industry in 1981 before the “business brokerage” was a common term for the profession.  At that time, he sold one of the first businesses for a business brokerage franchise in the state of Texas.  He then moved from agent to owner of the practice he was working for, and developed his own independent business brokerage firm, which he subsequently branded Liberty Business Exchange in the 1990’s.  Over the years, he participated in brokering the sale of hundreds of businesses across all industries, while simultaneously training numerous business brokers.  He is currently concentrating on healthcare practices, B2B Services, Distribution firms, and Manufacturing concerns.  He is additionally a Texas Real Estate licensee. Jimmy Goldman is involved in mergers and acquisitions as a business broker with a background as a former elected official and lobbyist, a director of supply chain development globally and a Senior Planning Data and Public Relations Specialist in dealing with the BP Oil Spill.  His career has taken him to various government and private sector organizations across the globe in North America, Asia, the Middle East and Central America. He holds a BBA degree in Organizational Management from the University of Texas El Paso.

Charles A. “Charlie” Tyler grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, and after high school, moved south to Baton Rouge to attend LSU.  Graduation with degrees in Economics and Accounting were completed in May of 1972.  In October of 1972, Charlie joined a large financial institution in Baton Rouge with duties of Branch Manager, Loan Officer and Internal Auditor.  In December of 1979, Charlie joined a regional accounting firm, leaving after a year to join another CPA in the firm of Magee and Tyler, CPAs.  In 1988, Charlie accepted an offer to become CFO of an industrial valve company, where he worked until 1994.  A desire to start a technology company resulting in Time Solutions, Inc. where Charlie owned and operated the company with a partner for 23 years.  Charlie’s background in accounting matters led to his desire to join Liberty Business Exchange in 2018 in the recruitment and execution of marketing closely held businesses for sale.  You can reach Charlie at or by phone at 225 571-9214.

Tom Given has owned and operated a full-service CPA firm since 2005. Prior to that, Tom had been running, owning, growing and selling businesses just like yours. He has owned and operated coin-laundries, as well as co-owned and run a commercial office products company.  His broad and diverse business experience includes service as controller for a ready-mix concrete and aggregate company and senior auditor/CPA for Ernst & Young. Also, because of his background as a CPA, he has been able to help both buyers and sellers understand the tax and financial issues involved in buying and selling businesses.  Over the years, Tom has listed and sold a variety of businesses in a wide range of industries.
